Maplewood Home Builders Celebrates 10th Anniversary in 2006

On August 2nd, 2006, Maplewood Home Builders celebrated its 10th birthday. Maplewood Home Builders was formed in 1996 as a partnership between Joe Hayes and Jason Mosher. We started construction on our first house, Job #1, in October. It was a small 3-bedroom ranch home on a crawl space foundation. We sold it complete with the lot and an attached 2-car garage for just over $65,000.

We started a total of 11 new houses in 1997, our first full year in business. Also in 1997, the business is incorporated and at the end of the year, Joe buys out his partner to become the sole owner .In 1999, we moved into our first real “office” with some rented space in downtown Shelby and moved the office to Hart in the year 2000.

In 2003, we achieved a major milestone with the completion of Job #100. Having outgrown our office space, we also began construction of a new building for ourselves. In 2004, we moved into our own brand new office building complete with a showroom of selections and options to help our clients personalize their homes. Also in 2004, we created our web site, www.YourBuilder.com.
